Women's Club update

The following is a release from the Women's Club of Ocean Pines.

Our monthly meetings are being held through Zoom, which is a tool for video conferencing with real-time messaging and content sharing. These meetings feature an informative speaker, or entertainment, or something for all WCOP members to look forward to as well as present a short business meeting. In addition, there is a door prize giveaway. An email invite from our president, Karin Benton, will give you access to Zoom. Our next meeting is April 1 from 10-11 a.m. and will feature conversations with John Viola, the general manager of the Ocean Pines Association. Our May 6 meeting, also held from 10-11 a.m., will feature Ginny Rosenkrantz from the University Maryland Extension Service of the Agriculture Department. She will speak on spring plantings.

The following winners will be announced at April 1 meeting: the meeting’s door prize, the April’s “Cash for Winners” drawings for $50 and $25 cash, and a giveaway for one member of the “From the Heart” Club fundraiser. Until April 30, 2021, all members are invited to participate with other members in showing your love “From the Heart” by sending your donation of $25 to Women’s Club of Ocean Pines (ATTN: Irene Daly) at 239 Ocean Parkway, Ocean Pines MD 21811.

Mark your calendars to support April’s “Restaurant of the Month” at Fox’s Pizza Den in Berlin for dine-in or carry-out on Wednesday, April 21 from 4-9 p.m. A flyer must be presented in order for the Women’s Club to receive a portion of the sales.
