Winter Storm Alert: Avoid parking on the street

(Feb. 18, 2025) The National Weather Service is predicting 3-4 inches of snow for the Ocean Pines area starting tomorrow afternoon, with the potential for up to eight inches, depending on how the storm develops.

To help Ocean Pines Public Works in clearing roads quickly and safely, residents are urged to avoid parking on the street and use their driveways instead. During recent snowstorms, parked vehicles created challenges for plows, particularly on cul-de-sacs and side streets, making snow removal more difficult.

Cooperation from the community will help ensure faster, more efficient snow removal. Ocean Pines officials appreciate residents’ efforts to keep the community safe.
