Worcester County Offices and Solid Waste Operations Closed Monday, May 25

The following is a May 21 release from Worcester County:

The Worcester County Central Landfill in Newark and all three Homeowner Convenience Centers (HOCCs) will be closed Monday, May 25, 2020, for the Memorial Day holiday. Worcester County Government (WCG) offices and Recreation & Parks, which continue to provide public services by phone and drop-off while remaining closed to the public during the COVID-19 pandemic, will also be closed on Monday.

All five branches of the Worcester County Library remain closed but have opened the outdoor book drops to accept returned items. Plans for contactless pick-up services will be announced soon.

The Shore Spirits Retail Liquor Store in Pocomoke will be open on Memorial Day during standard hours of operation.

The Central Landfill, HOCCs, WCG offices, and Recreation & Parks will resume standard operating hours on Tuesday, May 26. WCG staff wish one and all a happy and safe holiday weekend.
