Masks still required at Farmers Markets

(May 20, 2020) Ocean Pines is reminding visitors to the weekly Farmers & Artisans Market that Maryland guidelines for face masks and social distancing are still in place.

Among the restrictions still active is an April 15 executive order from Gov. Larry Hogan, on “Masks and Physical Distancing.”

That order requires the use of face coverings and physical distancing measures at all retail establishments, including farmers markets.

According to the order, “‘Face Covering’ means a covering that fully covers a person’s nose and mouth, but is not a Medical-Grade Mask. The term ‘Face Covering’ includes, without limitation, scarves and bandanas.”

The Ocean Pines Farmers & Artisans Market is open Saturdays, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at White Horse Park on 239 Ocean Parkway, in Ocean Pines.
