About Us
The Artisan Gift Shop is an extension of the Pine'eer Craft Club, a local group started in 1974. Members create handmade gift items, home décor, jewelry and so much more and then sell it in this retail store. Profits from these sales are donated back to the Ocean Pines community in the form of donations to the Police and Fire departments, Parks and Recreation Department, free Summer Concerts In the Park, Veterans Memorial and more.
Visit the shop to view beautiful, handmade items. Come often, as the merchandise is always changing. As merchandise sells, crafters are always making new items. And, as new crafters join the club, new categories of items expand the inventory.
The Artisan Gift Shop has a large selection of gift-giving items, such as jewelry sets, earrings and bracelets, and beautiful handbags and totes. A baby section includes crocheted blankets, hats, sweaters, plaques, baby bibs and more. There are also home décor items, many of them with a beach theme, including wreaths, wood plaques, floral arrangements, towels, coasters, runners and more. The shop even features floral arrangements with flowers made from seashells and fish scales. Members create handmade pottery items and stained glass items. Beautiful paintings, fabric-backed plates, mosaic mirrors, pictures made from jewelry, and pillows of all designs are also available. The shop also offers a complete line of doll-wear for American Girl dolls.
Upcoming Meetings
The Craft Club meets monthly on the third Thursday of the month at the Ocean Pines Community Center on 235 Ocean Parkway in Ocean Pines. All meetings are open to the public.
Join the club for refreshments at 9:45 a.m. A business meeting starts promptly at 10 a.m. After the meeting, the club offers a craft project for those who wish to participate. Preregistration is required, so the club can have enough supplies. A small fee is charged to cover the cost of supplies.
Current information regarding the next meeting and craft project are on display in the shop window. To preregister and for more information, call Program Chair Candy Foreman at 410-641-6082.
Crafter of the Month
The Pine’eer Craft Club announced Donna Wojculewski as its December Crafter of the Month.
Wojculewski, a resident of Beverly, New Jersey, works as a municipal court administrator for the City of Beverly. Her connection to Ocean Pines stems from her aunt, Carol Quinto, a longtime Craft Club member.
Wojculewski began crafting at age 10 when Quinto taught her to knit. She later taught herself to crochet, starting her entrepreneurial journey in grade school by selling crocheted items to her teachers.
Over the years, Wojculewski has created countless crocheted afghan blankets for family, friends, and customers throughout New Jersey. Her passion for crocheting has also extended to Ocean Pines, where her Amigurumi and crochet gnomes, afghans, and other handmade items are available for purchase.
Her creations can be found at the Pine’eer Craft Club’s Artisan Gift Shop, located in White Horse Park in Ocean Pines. The shop is open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Pine’eer Craft Club welcomes new crafters, and its meetings are open to the public. Artisans interested in selling their creations at the shop are encouraged to contact shop managers Debbie Jiwa or Barbara Herzog, or email [email protected] for more information.
Since its founding, the Pine’eer Craft Club has contributed nearly $196,000 to the Ocean Pines community and has proudly promoted handcrafted goods for 50 years.
