Youth soccer, t-ball return for the summer

The Ocean Pines Recreation and Parks Department is bringing back two popular youth sports programs for the summer. Both will be modified to meet CDC guidelines.

Families of children participating in soccer and t-ball will be asked to practice social distancing and remain 6 feet apart from non-family members. All equipment disinfecting practices will be managed by Ocean Pines, and participants will only use the ball given to them at each practice.

Soccer for boys and girls ages 6-8 will meet on Wednesdays, July 22-Aug 19 from 5:30-6:15 p.m. at Somerset Park. Shin guards are not required, but are recommended.

The cost for the five-week session is $40 for Ocean Pines residents and $45 for non-residents.

T-ball for boys and girls ages 4-6 will meet on Thursdays, July 23-Aug. 13 from 6-6:45 p.m. at the Manklin Meadows ball field.  Children should bring their own gloves.

The cost for the four-week session is $25 for Ocean Pines residents and $30 for non-residents.
