The Ocean Pines Recreation & Parks Department is offering a number of camps this year that include summer day camp as well as a variety of sports and conditioning camps. All camps are open to both Resident of Ocean Pines and non-Resident. Please read the descriptions listed for each camp. Junior Lifeguard Camp – 2017 Dates TBD
This 3-day program will help kids build a foundation of knowledge, attitude and skills that are needed to be a responsible volunteer and future lifeguard. Participants learn lifeguard skills, basic CPR and first aid, all while having a ton of fun! Fee includes a t-shirt, whistle and first aid kits. Snacks, drinks and a pizza dinner on Wednesday evening is also included. Participants returning as junior lifeguards registering for any of the sessions will return as Junior Crew Leaders and will be taught additional skills. Each program session consists of three evenings: Tuesday 4:30pm – 7:00pm/ Wednesday, 5:30-8:00pm and Thursday, 4:30-7:00pm.
Junior Lifeguard Officer Program – 2017 Dates TBD
Have you already become a Junior Lifeguard Crew Chief? Then this is the program for you! Officers will go through similar skills to the actual Red Cross Lifeguard: Rescue Manikin, full backboard extraction with head stabilization, passive victim, amongst many more skills. Cost includes Officer shirt, Whistle, Dinner Wed/Thurs nights. Do to the skills learned, Space is limited so sign up today! Must be a current Crew Chief! Each program session consists of three evenings: Tuesday 4:30pm – 7:00pm/ Wednesday, 5:30-8:00pm and Thursday, 4:30-7:00pm.

How to Register
Registration for the 2017 Summer Camp Program will begin in March 2017. The Ocean Pines Recreation & Park’s Department’s office is located in the Ocean Pines Community Center at 235 Ocean Parkway. Registrations will be taken daily at the Recreation & Parks Department office. Registration forms may be mailed in; faxed forms will not be accepted. Forms not completely filled out will be returned and no space will be reserved. (We do not keep last year’s forms in the office – please fill in all information.) Registrations cannot be held without a deposit / payment. Please use a separate form for each child being registered.
A non-refundable deposit of $25 per camper, per session must accompany all registration forms. Documents required for registration are:
- All forms included in the registration packet
- A character agreement form signed by the camper
- Proof of residency
- Immunization records (for out-of-country attendees only)

THE DEPOSIT IS NON-REFUNDABLE. Refund requests must be made in writing at least one week prior to the start of the camp session. No refunds will be issued after a camp session has begun without permission from the Camp Director. Although, payments for cancelled sessions will be gladly applied to pay for another week of camp, if space permits. No refunds will be given if the child has been expelled from camp or for time missed due to disciplinary reasons.
