GET YOUR SOUP ON – With the arrival of fall you’ll find the farmers market filled with winter squash and pumpkins. And what’s more appropriate for cooler temperatures, then a simmering pot of squash soup or stew. The combination of a hearty stock with squash, carrots, celery, onion and woody herbs come together for an unexpected sweet and creamy bowl of goodness. Try pumpkin teamed up with late season tomatoes, add smoky chiles and beans for a real treat. Meats added to your soup create a stick-to-your-ribs bowl or leave them out for a vegetarian meal. Put soup ingredients on your market shopping list!
