Ocean Pines is hosting its 2nd Annual Tree Lighting Celebration on Friday, November 30, 2012. “An Old Fashioned Christmas” will be held in White Horse Park at 6:30pm. Visitors are invited to come and welcome in the holiday season with us as we light up the park in celebration!
This holiday tradition is sponsored by local businesses, organizations and members of the community who purchased a tree and hand decorated it for spectators’ enjoyment. New this year is the “Children’s Tree Garden”. All trees must be decorated no later than Nov. 28th.
We have a total of 17 large trees being sponsored including the large Ocean Pines Association tree that will be under the pavilion. We have 4 trees being sponsored in the Children’s Tree Garden. Last year we had a total of 14 trees. 10 sponsors are returning from last year and 7 are first time participants.

The celebration is full of holiday fun for the whole family. The twinkling lights, choirs, and bell-ringers create a great place for friends and family to come together. Randy Davis will have his son out giving carriage rides (price still undetermined) Warm up with a cup of hot cider while listening to Christmas carols performed by the Delmarva Chorus and Most Blessed Sacrament, followed by a jolly visit from Santa Claus. The winners of the Ocean Pines Gingerbread House Contest will also be announced during the celebration.
Spectators are invited to come enjoy White Horse Park all throughout the holiday season as displays will remain lit until the New Year.
