Travel Restrictions in Worcester County in effect

Worcester County Emergency Services (WCES) advises all residents that a Snow Emergency Plan is now in effect for all of Worcester County.

The Maryland State Police (MSP) issued the travel restriction beginning at 7:30 p.m. tonight. Vehicles will not be permitted to travel on state roadways unless they are equipped with radials, snow tires or chains. Vehicles parked or disabled on a state roadway are subject to being towed.

The plan will remain in place until further notice. WCES urges residents to remain indoors and stay off the roads.
