Kiwanis Annual Duck Race Fundraiser

$5 per duck / $10 for 3
Tickets are on sale now for Annual Duck Race Fundraiser, hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Greater Ocean Pines-Ocean City. Proceeds benefit scholarships for local graduating high school seniors. Each duck will carry a number across the finish line to win prizes. 1st prize – $1000; 2nd prize – $300; 3rd prize – $200. Many more prizes available; winners need not be present. Call 410-208-4108.
OP Chamber Classic Car Show & Parade

$12 pre-registration / $15 day of the show
The parade will begin at White Horse Park following registration. The parade will end at the car show at Veterans Memorial Park. A kids bike parade around the South Gate Pond will be held at 12:00 pm. Trophies and prizes will be presented at 2:00 pm. For all types of cars including classic, antique, modern, custom and hot rod. Vendors food and music will also be available. Hosted by the Ocean Pines Chamber of Commerce.
The Ocean Pines Anglers Club announced the winners of 18th annual Art Hansen Memorial Youth Fishing Contest held on Saturday, July 19 at the South Gate Pond in Ocean Pines.Seventy-six youth ages 4 to 16 participated in three age groups.In the ages 4 to 7 category, Alayna Akins won for largest fish; Gabriel Vitak won for most fish. In the ages 8 to 11 category, JD Francone won for largest fish; Jacob Ehm won for most fish. In the ages 12 to 16 category, Blake Harden won for largest fish; Tyler Wright won for most fish. The winners received trophies, rods and reels. Close to 100 fish, which were measured and tallied by Anglers Club members, were pulled from the pond. Anglers Club members also provided free bait, and representatives from the Department of Natural Resources were on hand to offer education. All contest participants received prizes donated by event sponsors.
