ELECTION RESULTS! 
Congratulations to Tom Herrick and Cheryl Jacobs for being the 2015 Board Election winners.  They were both elected to three-year terms.  We would like to thank Marty Clarke and Sharyn O’Hare for their three-years of service.  Tom and Cheryl will join Dave Stevens, Jack Collins, Pat Renaud, Bill Cordwell, and Tom Terry on the OPA Board.  Next Meeting TBD. more…….

“Float for the Coast” Water Rally

Fish Tales Bar & Grill / Bahia Marina, 22nd St. Bayside, Ocean City

Assateague Coastal Trust, in partnership with Waterkeepers Chesapeake and others, will hold an on-the-water rally in support of clean water.  The rally will be begin at Fish Tales and convene at noon at the Isle of Wight Bay adjacent to the Ocean City Convention Center.  The public is encouraged to join and bring kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, canoes or other legal watercraft.  Register in advance at www.actforbays.org to receive a free commemorative t-shirt or to reserve a kayak.  For more information, call 410-629-1538 or email staff@actforbays.org.

Life Line Community Health Screening

Life Line Screening, a leading provider of community-based preventive health screenings, will host this preventive health event.  Five screenings will be offered that scan for potential health problems: blocked arteries, a leading cause of stroke; abdominal aortic aneurysms, which can lead to a ruptured aorta; hardening of the arteries in the legs, which is a strong predictor of heart disease; atrial fibrillation or irregular heart beat, which is closely tied to stroke risk and a bone density screening – for men and women –  used to assess the risk of osteoporosis.
