The Maryland Coastal Bays Program seek community input on the updated Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan (CCMP) that addresses current and emerging issues impacting water quality and the health of the bays and waterways behind Ocean City and Assateague Island. The workshop is set up to allow participants to arrive any time during the three-hour period and browse information stations that appeal to their interests.

 

MCBP will also be doing a tree planting project in conjunction with many organizations and volunteers on Tues, Apr 15th at 10am.

Search Committee will host an informative public meeting on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 6:30pm in the Ocean Pines Community Center in the Assateague Room.  The meeting will be open to Association Members and anyone interested in a position on the Board is encouraged to attend.  The purpose will be to outline the function of the Search Committee, describe the qualifications of the candidates they search for, outline the responsibilities of OPA Board members, and receive input from attendees about finding interested candidates. AARP Tax-Aide Free Tax Preparation

Through April 14

The AARP Foundation will be offering free tax preparation for low- to moderate-income tax payers, especially those 60 and older.  Volunteers are trained to assist in e-filing returns, but cannot prepare rental/business income, HSA/COD returns.  Assistance will be offered on Mondays at the Ocean Pines library, Thursdays and Saturdays at the Community Church of Ocean Pines and the Ocean City library.  For appointments in Ocean City and Ocean Pines, please call 410-213-1608.

The Worcester County Commission for WomenTuesday, April 15   5:00-6:30 PM  Board of Education- 6270 Worcester Highway in Newark.  The purpose of the WCCW is to promote social, education, and economic equality for women in Worcester County.  The meeting is open to the public and women of all ages are invited to attend.   We seek volunteers for short-term assignments such as grant writing, fundraising, and event planning.  Main at 410-632-5040.
