Maryland Coastal Bays 5th Annual Earth Day clean up, Saturday, April 5th

 

Volunteers are encouraged to pre-register with Coastal Bays in advance so there will be plenty of supplies and assignments. Garbage bags, gloves and a commemorative tee shirt are provided to all volunteers while supplies last. Register your team by either emailing sandis@mdcoastalbays.org or calling 410-213-2297 ext 107.

There will be a small reception afterwards beginning at noon at the Blue Ox Grille located on 127th Street. Participants are encouraged to estimate the pounds of trash they collected and register the amount at the reception.  They are also encouraged to bring in the most unusual find as area businesses have provided prizes for the honorable mentionables!

“Let’s Walk the Boards for St. Jude Children’s Hospital”

Saturday, April 5 on the Ocean City Boardwalk

 

Participants can raise money for the treatment of children with catastrophic illnesses and research for a cancer cure by walking the Boards in Ocean City, Maryland. The 11th Annual “Let’s Walk the Boards for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital” takes place on Saturday, April 5, 2014.  Registration starts at 9 A.M. in front of the Tram Station at the south end of the boardwalk. Cost to participate in the Ocean City walk is $15, and walkers are encouraged to solicit additional donations by signing-up sponsors for their walk.

 

 

Ocean Pines Yearly Fees Raffle – Tickets On Sale Now at ADMIN

 

The Ocean Pines Chamber of Commerce is once again hosting the Annual Ocean Pines Yearly Fees Raffle. The 2014 drawing will be held on April 27, 2014 during the Ocean Pines Home Show at the OP Community Center! Tickets are just $10 each. Only 1,500 tickets will be sold and you can enter as many times as you wish! There are several more prizes this year!

 

1st Place prize is a choice of $1,000 CASH or your Ocean Pines Basic Assessment Fee PAID FOR ONE YEAR plus One Year FREE Residential Trash Pick-up from Waste Management (Ocean Pines Residents only) and $200 towards your Electric Bill from Choptank Electric. (Must be existing customer)

Join us to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the fight against blood cancer.  Colby is a 4 year-old girl from Ocean City, MD who has been battling Acute Lymphoma Leukemia for over a year.  Colby’s family and friends are joining together in this special event to raise money and awareness for the LLS.  Join us for a morning of fun and fitness to raise money and help win the fight against this horrible disease!  An OCTRI-RUNNING EVENT!

PINE’EER CRAFT & GIFT SHOP NOW OPEN

The craft and gift shop sponsored by the Pine’eer Craft Club is now open for the season. Local crafters place their handmade items in the shop for sale at very reasonable prices. You can find unique jewelry, hand-stitched items, items with shell and beachy themes, and much more.

The shop is open from 10 AM to 4 PM every Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, April 12th a special Spring Open House will be held with door prizes and refreshments. Stop in and see our unique selection of items.

Arbor Day Memorial Tree Planting Ceremony

Thursday, April 10   10:00 am

Pintail Park

Hosted by the Ocean Pines Garden Club, this annual ceremony will feature a tree planting in memory of loved ones and is open to all.  A luncheon will follow the ceremony at the restaurant at Lighthouse Sound.  In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held at the Ocean Pines Community Center in the Assateague Room.  For information call 410-641-5242.
