Blankets of Warmth
We would like to say “Thank you” to everyone that has donated a blanket to our Blankets of Warmth Drive. Your generosity will bring comfort to many in our community. If you were unable to get your blanket to market this past Saturday, we’ve got good news! Our Blankets of Warmth Drive continues throughout the month of December. Just drop your blankets off at the Market Information Booth, located inside the main entrance. The Ocean Pines Farmers Market and our blanket drive partner Holy Trinity Cathedral are grateful for your support.
Beautiful holiday wreaths from Hasting Farms are back at your Ocean Pines Farmers Market for another wonderful Christmas season. The Hasting’s use fresh naturally grown greens harvested from the woodlands of their Worcester County Farm to hand made holiday wreaths. It’s the most
wonderful time of year at your Ocean Pines Farmers Market!
Make the season bright with local made tapered beeswax candles from Longridge Gardens. The handcrafted 100% beeswax candles are long burning, and when lite give off the sweet natural aroma of the honey. Pair the candles with a seasonal floral arrangement by Terry for your home or give “Deans Handcrafted with Nature” candles as a lovely hostess gift.
COMMUNITY CORNER TENT
We’re now taking reservations for our Community Corner Tent for the 2015 market year. This is a great way to introduce your nonprofit or service group to the farmers’ market shoppers. For more information, and to reserve your date; contact Market Manager David Bean at 410-251-6383 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
VOLUNTEER AT MARKET
The Friends of the Ocean Pines Farmers Market is our volunteer group. As a volunteer you could have the opportunity to rub elbows with our farmers and learn more about local agriculture, hob-knob with the bakers for inside secrets to their best recipes or just make new friends with others interested in supporting the farmers market. Volunteer opportunities are available at any level of commitment and hours are flexible. To find out more, you can stop by our Information booth any Saturday or contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Tracey Hofman at TraceyHofman@aol.com.
