Holiday Home Market

On November 29th, begin your holiday decorating with our artisan craftsman, merchants and farmers.  The market will be filled with fresh greens, wreaths, swags and garlands to deck the halls.   Turn those Turkey day leftovers into something fresh with the addition of the season’s best produce.  And, begin you holiday gift shopping with our local vendors.  We’re your farmers market for the holiday season!

KIDS MARKET ZONE
November 8th

As the weather changes, we’re going to the birds with a fun project to teach children the appreciation of wildlife right in their very own backyard.  Ms. Vicki and her creative crafting crew will be making Pinecone Bird Feeders with the children in the Kids Market Zone.  With this project, kids will love being able to watch the birds eating from the feeder they crafted at market. It will give them a sense of satisfaction and fosters stewardship to see that they can help their feathered friends find something to eat.

Kids Market Zone activities begin at 9:00am and are open to all children between the ages of 3 and 14. The Holy Trinity Cathedral is hos of the Ocean Pines Farmers Market Kids Zone. A Small donation is suggested, but not required for a child participating in an activity at the Kids Market Zone.

Worcester County Beach Bots –

This Saturday the Worcester Beach Bots Robotics team is under our Community Corner Tent.  The group is holding a large multi-family yard sale to raise much needed funds so the group can travel to Florida in the spring of 2015 for an upcoming event.  The Worcester Beach Bots Robotics team consists of students from several Worcester County Public Schools.  Students from Stephen Decatur, Snow Hill, Pocomoke, and Worcester Technical High Schools work together to design and build robots for FIRST Regional and State Competitions.  FIRST (For inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a robotics program that inspires young people to be science and technology leaders.  This global program offers over 16 million dollars in college scholarships and also fosters self-confidence, communication, and leadership in our students.  Please support this outstanding group of students that represent our future!
