The Ocean Pines Farmers Market is open from 8 am to 1 pm every Saturday at White Horse Park.  You’ll find local fresh produce, artisan breads, baked goods, handcrafted furniture and beads, eggs, meats, seafood, floral arrangements, pet treats, wine, soaps and much, much more. Visit the market this Saturday, June 28, for a special offer, a silk flower arrangement workshop and to and greet our vendors – old and new!

New Vendor – This week Trinity Pantry will arrive at the Ocean Pines Farmers Market.  You’ll find freshly baked pies, cookies and quick breads.  Stop by and meet Vicki Ray and take home something sweet and delicious!  all proceeds from Trinity Pantry benefit  Holy Trinity Church.

Returning Vendor – We welcome back Baker Farms from Newark, Md. this week.  In his farm’s gardens, Johnny is growing tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and green beans.  Kellie will be at the market every Saturday to help you fill your basket with all of Baker Farms’ fresh produce!

Market Specials – Tilmon’s Island Winery is once again offering a special for Farmers Market visitors.  Buy two bottles of wine – made right here on Maryland’s Eastern Shore – at the regular price and receive a bottle of wine of equal or lesser value free.

“Meet Me at the Market” Series – This Saturday, join The Country Peddler from 10 am to 12 noon for a silk flower arrangement workshop. Bring your own container and receive personal instructions from Terry about how to create a beautiful arrangement.  Stems will be available for purchase.  Purchase 10 stems of silk flowers for $1 each and receive an additional 5 stems free.  No RSVP required.

Community Corner Tent –  The Worcester County Humane Society returns to the Community Corner Tent this week. This nonprofit organization needs your donations to help operate its “no-kill” shelter.  They are seeking donations of the following items, so please bring them to the market and drop them off at the tent:

  • Dog toys
  • Cat litter
  • Verus brand dog and cat food – canned and dry
  • Dog Kongs – all sizes
  • Peanut butter
  • Brooms, dust pans & Libman mops
  • Paper towels & toilet paper
  • Bleach & hand sanitizer
  • Liquid dish & laundry detergent
