New Vendor This Week –Naturally Sunkissed Farm, a family-run farm located in Bishopville, Maryland, has been gardening and raising poultry for many years. Brett and Megan raise pastured chickens, turkeys, quail and ducks. In addition to poultry and eggs, the farm will also have a selection of fruits and vegetables at its market stand. And for the beer-brewing enthusiast, Naturally Sunkissed Farm grows hops for home beer brewing. You’ll want to make a stop at the market stand of Naturally Sunkissed Farm every Saturday to see all they have to offer to fill your market basket.
Meet Me at the Market Series – On May 3 from 8 am to 1 pm, we’re firing up the grill! This demonstration will pair grilling guru Chef Jan Sklar with market vendor Naturally Sunkissed Farm. Naturally Sunkissed Farm raises poultry that is all-natural, antibiotic-free, cage-free and fed a natural vegetable diet with no additives. On Chef Jan’s menu is a delicious grilled chicken dish, crabby potatoes and a grilled pineapple dessert. Join Chef Jan as she shares a variety of cooking techniques to help you bring out the most flavor for your summer barbeques. It’s FREE to attend and everyone takes home a free copy of the recipes. On May 10 at 10 am, learn about the art of stained glass with Peter Uprichard. This FREE demonstration will include information about cutting glass, the pattern process and a chance to observe the techniques. If you’re curious, a stained glass beginner or looking to brush up on your skills, this “Meet Me at the Market” is perfect for you!
