May 7 Opening Day of the Summer Market Season – We’re welcoming back our returning vendors and will introduce the newest members of our market family! Small local farms and orchards will be offering fresh produce and bakeries,wineries and gourmet foods vendors will have a delicious assortment of items. Seek out the unusual with our artisan boutique vendors and meet vendors who will be offering services for you and your home. New this year is the Market Picnic Grove, where you’ll find oversized picnic tables tucked under the park’s large shade trees. It’s also the home of the market’s Front Porch Stage.
May 21 Strawberry Bash – We’re celebrating strawberry season! Just-picked strawberries and freshly-baked strawberry items will be available from our vendors. You can also browse our boutique vendors for unique artisan items. The event will include The Great Cupcake Bake-Off and a Chef@Market demonstration in our outdoor market kitchen by Janice Curtis. May 21 The Great Cupcake Bake-Off – We’re searching for the best cupcake! Judges will be looking for big flavor, great texture and all-around deliciousness. Two categories: Kids (ages 6-15 years) and Amateur Adults. Entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges and the winners will be announced during our Strawberry Bash. May 21 Chef@ Market – Janice Curtis, an independent consultant with Pampered Chef, will teach a technique class using the manual food processor and the Core N More. She will feature the seasonal bounty of local ripe, juicy strawberries from Cole Orchard of Berlin and Chrissy Bee’s Honey from Stag Run Farm. You’ll find her near the Market Picnic Grove at 9 am. This event is free and open to the public!
June 18 Paws & Whiskers Fundraiser – This year’s event will benefit Town Cats of Ocean City. Guest vendors will have everything you, your cat or puppy will need. Demonstrations, raffles and a special guest appearance!
Reservations are now being taken for the Community Corner. Civic groups, clubs or non-profit organizations are encouraged to hold a fundraiser, sign up new members or offer a demonstration to market visitors.
