Memorial Day OPFMHaving Fun With Our Market Vendors  – We challenged our market vendors to bring the holiday colors to their market stands for the Memorial Weekend Holiday Market.  Everyone did a great job and the market was festive as we kicked off the official start of summer on Delmarva.  Please join us as we congratulate our winners. First place was awarded to Holly Hill Homemade Goods, Grey’s Produce came in second place and third place went to Hogue of Colorplay for his colorful patriotic leather jacket.   Make sure to visit our winners this Saturday and congratulate them on their wins!

Welcome Jake & Amos to Market – D. J. David & Company is now the exclusive home of Jake & Amos jarred vegetable and fruit products at the Ocean Pines Farmers Market.  A selection of different unique and delicious jarred products all made with only the finest ingredients in the Amish tradition are available.  The folks at Jake & Amos believe that canning is an art and know that the way a product is canned can affect the quality of its flavor. For each product, they select the process that will best maintain the goodness and flavor of the ingredients in the recipe. Look for a selection of pickles, relishes and more.

Holly Hill Homemade Goods –  Coming from the ovens at Holly Hill this week you’ll find sweet potato biscuits, strawberry rhubarb pies, strawberry cobblers,  chocolate chip zucchini bread, apple bread, strawberry walnut bread and more.  For those looking for a gluten free option – strawberry bread, raspberry muffins, blueberry muffins, chocolate muffins, sandwich bread and more.

Longridge Gardens – Finally!  With warmer weather the gardens at Longridge Gardens have new flowers blooming each week.  Stop by Terry’s big yellow tent and purchase flowers by the stem or have a custom arrangement made with the flowers and greens you choose.

Pre-orders may be made through Brookie’s Cookies Facebook messenger. You’ll also find new goodies updated on the Facebook “About” page, and these items are available for pre-order as well.

Tumbleweed & Eddies – Lisa and Jonathan take a short break from market this Saturday.  They will return on June 6.

Berry Festival June 27 – The Ocean Pines Farmers Market Berry Festival is made for berry lovers, who know it’s summer on Delmarva when the ripest, juiciest berries – perfect for making pies, jams and other treats – start appearing.  Join us to find the freshest Eastern Shore berries, including strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries.  In addition to fresh berries from our farm vendors, there will be berry-themed foods, crafts and artisan products.

Independence Day Market July 4  – It’s time for a red, white and blue celebration!  On July 4 join us from 8 am to 1 pm and stock up on everything you need for a star-spangled summer cookout.  Fill you market basket with local sweet corn, tomatoes and all the offerings from our farmers.  You’ll find beef, pork, poultry and lamb for the grill.  Our bakers will have an unbelievable selection for your picnic table, and don’t forget to take home a bottle of Maryland wine.  Our artisan vendors will have a wonderful selection of the most unique items for your shopping pleasure.  Handmade soaps, candles, linens, jewelry, wood crafts and more will be in the market.

Stone Fruits Celebration July 25 – Local peaches, nectarines, apricots and plums will be in season and at the farmers market for this mid-summer celebration!  Our farmers will have baskets of your favorites to enjoy.  The fruits will be featured by our bakers in pies, tarts, pastries, breads and more.  Enjoy the fruits fragrance as our artisans prepare soaps, candles and more in favorite stone fruits essence.

Bazaar Vendor Openings – The Bazaar is coming to the Ocean Pines Farmers Market!  This new section will aim to provide shoppers with a variety of unique resale goods and collectible items including jewelry, collectible housewares, antiques, shabby chic furniture, sports memorabilia and more.  For Bazaar vending information, contact Market Manager David Bean at or 410-251-6383.

Farmers Market Raffle – The Ocean Pines Farmers Market is offering market visitors the chance to win a new bicycle and ride around the market in style with the introduction of its 2015 raffle.  Tickets will be sold at the market through Nov. 21.  Other prizes include $100 in Market Bucks, valid at any Ocean Pines Farmers Market vendor, and an Ocean Pines Farmers Market gift basket with market products and gift certificates valued at $50.  Tickets are $5 each or $20 for six.  The raffle drawing will be held at the 2015 Thanksgiving Market on Nov. 21.  Winners need not be present to win.

Artisan Vendor Call – Artists and crafters, you’re invited to participate as vendors at the 2015 Ocean Pines Farmers Market.  The market is becoming a Saturday morning cultural centerpiece of Maryland’s Eastern Shore community by embracing artisan market vendors.  In addition to the traditional farmers market vendors, shoppers now look for artisans selling jewelry, beading, metalwork, photography, paintings, leather goods, carved wood pieces, textiles and other products.  For artisan vending information, contact Market Manager David Bean at or 410-251-6383.

Kids Market Zone

Kids Market zoneThis Saturday at the Kid’s Market Zone, the Crafting Crew will have a mystery box of items and will be making something fun with the kids.

Kids Market Zone activities are free!  Activities begin at 9 am and are open to all children ages 3 to 14. The Holy Trinity Cathedral is host of the Ocean Pines Farmers Market’s Kids Market Zone.
