This Week at the Ocean Pines Farmers & Artisans Market: Aug. 27

Grab your market basket and fill it with the best locally grown fruits and vegetables: it’s the summer harvest season! Strolling through the colorful produce stands of the green market at the Ocean Pines Farmers & Artisans Market is a late-summer rite of passage. Green and golden zucchini, rambunctious melons and just-picked corn beg you to take them home to be devoured.

How about a peach pie or a slice of gourmet cheese? Breathe deep the aroma of locally-roasted coffee and the music from the Market Stage that fills the marketplace air. Try the jams and jellies – they’re delicious! Slip on your comfy shoes and arrive ready to slow down and savor the market experience. Talk with the merchants – it’s a nostalgia experience, lost to past generations. Shop for unique specialty items at the beloved public market in Worcester County. And don’t forget to grab a bouquet of fresh-cut local flowers on your way out!

The community feedback has been positive and the market’s management team has already begun the planning for next year’s second market day. Look for news announcing the return of the market in the early spring.
