Think Spring with Gardening Workshop

Forget cold winter weather.  Think spring and begin planning a beautiful garden at the Ocean Pines Recreation and Parks Department’s beginner gardening workshop on Thursday, Feb. 12 from 11 am-12:30 pm or Tuesday, Feb. 17 from 6-7:30 pm at the Ocean Pines Community Center.

Expert gardener Nancie Corbett will lead the workshop, which is designed to teach newbies gardening basics such as the importance of good soil, composting, seedling care and how to add transplants.

Two sessions of the workshop, which is open to the public, will be offered and preregistration is required.  The cost is $15 for Ocean Pines residents and $20 for non-residents.  The community center is located at 235 Ocean Parkway in Ocean Pines.
