Spring Bike Expo

Area children ages 8 and up and their parents are encouraged to grab their bikes, skate boards or walking shoes and head to the Ocean Pines Recreation and Parks Department’s 2nd Annual Spring Bicycle Expo, Skate Demo & Pedestrian Info Event Day on Sunday, May 1 from 11 am – 2 pm at White Horse Park in Ocean Pines

This free event is being presented in conjunction with National Bike Month and will offer information and activities that celebrate moving around outside.

Bicycle League of America-certified bicycle instructor Cindy Morris will offer information about bicycle laws and safety. Participants may also bring a bicycle helmet or purchase a new one at the event and decorate it with a variety of craft supplies.

Other event highlights include demonstrations by local skaters, music, prizes, information booths, vendors, merchandise for sale and more.

Representatives from the Eastern Shore International Mountain Biking Association, Berlin Bike-Skate Unite, West Ocean City Pedal & Pedestrian Committee and Y Bicycle will be on hand to share information about their missions, volunteer opportunities and membership.

Event participants are welcome to bring bikes and skateboards to ride at the event. Parental supervision is required.
