The Ocean Pines Recreation and Parks Department is looking for coaches for its youth basketball league starting in January!

Kids Day Off

Kids will enjoy games, sports, movies, arts & crafts and much more December 27-29 from 8am-5pm. Just $50 for Ocean Pines residents / $55 for non-residents for all three days!

Gingerbread House Decorating

Put your decorating skills to use at this special holiday workshop on Friday, December 22 from 5-7 pm. We’ll provide the basics – bring your own special toppings if you wish!

Philadelphia Flower Show

The 2018 Philadelphia Flower Show will celebrate the beauty of flower fields, waterfalls, gardens & stunning floral displays at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Explore the gardens & get tips on gardening from live demonstrations throughout the day. Sip & Savor, Pennsylvania’s Fine Wine & Good Spirits, presents an outstanding tasting experience of more than 100 labels of the finest wine & spirits at the Show Tasting Garden – FREE of charge! For an additional fee you can enjoy a relaxing spa experience, make your own floral potpourri & recharge your soul or hand-tie your own bouquet in the World Flower Market, experience the Butterflies Live & the Garden Tea. The Philadelphia Flower Show never falls short of amazingly beautiful! It’s a MUST SEE experience!

Adult Co-Ed Dodgeball League

A ramped-up adult league of the old school classic. Relive the memories, have fun, meet new people & get fit! Enjoy one of Ocean Pines Recreation & Parks’ most popular leagues. Grab a group of friends & coworkers & organize a team consisting of 6 players on the court (2 players on court must be a female) & may have up to 15 players on the roster. Individuals interested in playing may register as free agents for teams needing additional players.

Santa in the Park

“Santa in the Park” returns for another jolly year! Children are welcome to bring their Christmas lists and visit with Santa. Don’t forget your camera for photos! While you’re there, enjoy the beautifully decorated trees in White Horse Park. This holiday treat is open to the public!

Hoopsters Basketball League

Ocean Pines’ popular Hoopsters Youth Basketball League for ages 4-13 starts January 6. Register today!

Timeless Tennis

Looking for a unique racquet sport to play? Timeless Tennis is played at the platform tennis courts in Ocean Pines and is perfect for those no longer comfortable playing on a regular-size tennis court. Free introductory lessons available!

Platform Tennis Free Clinics & Trial Membership

Free platform tennis clinics are offered every Saturday at noon at the Manklin Meadows Racquet Sports Complex. Follow up your clinic with a free 30-day trial membership!

Have you ever watched others dance and wished you could dance like them? Would you like to try a different activity to get fit? This class will teach you easy dance steps to some of your favorite well-known music – from swing to ballroom dancing. The talented instructor will teach you every step of the way! You do not have to have a partner in order to participate. Bring shoes that you can slide in.

Toddler Time @ Ocean Pines Community Center

For ages 18 months – 3 years. Offers parent and child the opportunity to socialize with others through indoor playtime, music and movement. This is a time to explore, discover, create and play together while sharing the joys and challenges of raising happy children with other parents. Your child will have the opportunity to play with balls, hula-hoops, tunnels and a giant parachute, games and slides. A parent/guardian is required to stay with each child.

Tai Chi for Arthritis II @ Ocean Pines Community Center

This program is geared for people with arthritis or other joint issues to provide greater flexibility and strength in the joints and to increase balance to reduce falls. Tai Chi, also called “Moving Meditation,” can also help to reduce stress, boost immune function by 50 percent, reduce depression and anxiety, improve sleep and reduce or eliminate chronic pain issues.
The practices are upright and slow continuous movements. Anyone can practice Tai Chi because all movements can be adjusted to the individual.

Self Defense: Hapkido @ Ocean Pines Community Center

For men and women ages 18 and older.  Improve your flexibility, balance and strength by learning Hapkido, a “soft martial art” for adults.  It is taught in a friendly, non-competitive environment with no sparring or katas. Hapkido uses the “path of least resistance” and “ki energy” to control an attacker.  You can enjoy learning self-defense in a practical way that appeals to men and women of all experience levels.  Class size is limited.

Little Shooters Basketball Clinic @ Ocean Pines Community Center

For ages 4-6.  This awesome bclinic will teach your child the basics of basketball. Kids will learn dribbling, passing and shooting as well as the basic rules of the game. The environment will be “non-competitive” and friendly so your child can receive the full benefit of the clinic while having fun! Note: Children should dress in comfortable clothing and wear tennis shoes.
