Bridge Instructional Class @ Ocean Pines Community Center

Bridge stimulates your brain and helps keep your memory active. It is also a great way to make friends with other players. The Bridge Basics Series introduces students to up-to-date methods that represent the way bridge is played today. It is for beginning players and those who wish to brush up on fundamentals of the game. Fee includes instructional book.

What better way to socialize with your friends or make new ones! You’ll learn all the right dance steps that you can show off when you head out for a night of dancing. Line dancing is also great exercise!

Tai Chi & Qigong for Health @ Ocean Pines Community Center

This program is designed to create an alternative for the body to deal with many chronic health issues in a safe and effective way. Tai Chi, also called “Moving Meditation,” has been proven by Harvard Health Publication to be a benefit for all health issues. This practice can reduce stress, boost immune function by 50 percent, reduce depression and anxiety, improve sleep, reduce or eliminate chronic pain issues and dramatically improve balance, dexterity and fall prevention. It can also prevent colds and flu, lower high blood pressure, reduce ADHD symptoms and benefit arthritis, diabetes and osteoporosis conditions.
The following practices are in this 8-week program: AM Tai Chi, Stress Relieving Qigong, The Five Treasures, Tai Chi for Energy, 8 Pieces of Brocade, PM Tai Chi and Shibashi (18 moves).
The practices are upright and slow continuous movements. Anyone can practice Tai Chi because all movements can be adjusted to the individual.

Dance Class – Hand Dancing, Easy Swing & Ballroom @ Ocean Pines Community Center

Learn soft, easy dance steps to some of your favorite and well-known dances, from easy swing to ballroom dancing! Our talented instructor will teach you every step of the way. No partner? No problem – we’ll find one for you! Bring your dancing shoes – must be able to slide. A free introductory class will be held on January 10 at 7:15 pm at the Ocean Pines Community Center.

Happy Cleats Soccer will allow children ages 2-3 the chance to burn off some energy in a non-competitive environment.  Socialization, simple soccer fundamentals and fun will be the main focus.

Pee Wee Indoor Soccer @ Ocean Pines Community Center

Pee Wee Soccer, for ages 4-6, will use skills, drills and games to help children build self-confidence and have fun! Parents/guardians are asked to assist during practices.

Wall to Wall Co-Ed Dodgeball @ Ocean Pines Community Center

There will be a team meeting on January 11 at 6:30 pm in the Community Center.

A ramped-up adult league of the old school classic! Relive the memories, have fun, meet new people and get fit! Become a part of one of our most popular leagues! Grab a group of friends and coworks and organize a team of 6 players on court (at least 2 females) and may have up to 15 players on the roster. Individuals interested in playing may register as free agents for teams needing additional players.

Discovery Tennis @ Ocean Pines Community Center

Moms, dad, grandparents…join your toddler in the gym for this fun introductory tennis class with Erika Cook, Delmarva Beach Tennis. The goal is to introduce the fundamentals and principles of tennis using age-appropriate balls and racquets. There is an emphasis on hand-eye coordination, team and partner interaction and most importantly having fun! Note: Parent/guardian involvement required to assist your child. A limited number of racquets will be available for use.
