Janes Island is wild and seemingly untouched, a haven for birds, fish, crabs and other saltmarsh dwellers. The state part provides visitors a tranquil setting to explore the wildlife of the Bay while enjoying the expansive vistas and stunningly beautiful sunsets and offers more than 30 miles of marked water trails that wind throughout the island’s saltmarsh. Most of the waterways are protected from wind and current, providing ideal conditions for both experience and novice paddlers. Dr. Diana Wagner will lead a 2-hour paddle on one of these trails. The time of the tour is dependent upon the tide schedule. Fee includes kayak and lunch.
Join Salisbury University on the Road and tour one of the nation’s premier Impressionist collections. This exhibition aims to retrace chapters of Jean Renoir’s production through the course of a rich and fascinating dialogue between father (Pierre-Auguste Renoir) and son. The Barnes Foundation, with its collection of Jean Renoir pottery in addition to 181 works by Pierre-August Renoir, will provide a poignant setting for exploring this complex, fruitful relationship between painting and cinema. Plus, you’ll enjoy an afternoon of free time in Philadelphia. The tour will depart from Salisbury University.
