The Ocean Pines Recreation and Parks Department will offer two sessions of a new seminar on physical therapy for golfers this fall. The seminar is free and open to the public.
“Can Physical Therapy Help my Golf Game?” will be presented by Back in Action Physical Therapy on Wednesday, Oct. 18 and again on Thursday, Nov. 30 from 10-11 a.m. at the Ocean Pines Community Center, located at 235 Ocean Parkway.
The seminar will explore golf swing difficulties as well as back pain or stiffness that may occur when bending over to pick up a ball, lifting a golf bag or simply walking on the course.
Participants will learn how impaired range of motion and muscle weakness can affect one’s golf game and strategies to improve them.
Although there is no cost to attend the seminar, spaces are limited and pre-registration is required. Seating may be reserved by calling the Recreation and Parks Department at 410-641-7052.
