PGA Jr. League Golf Coming to Ocean Pines

Ocean Pines Golf & Country Club will be joining other golf courses in the Ocean City/Berlin area for the 2016 season of PGA Junior League Golf.

PGA Junior League Golf provides an opportunity for boys and girls ages 7-13 to play golf in a fun, social and inclusive atmosphere. The season, which will take place in May, June and July, will consist of 5-6 regular competitions, practices and the chance for advancement to post-season play.

Players of all abilities are encouraged to join, and every participant will play in every competition. Advanced skills are not required.

The Ocean Pines team will compete against other PGA Junior League Golf teams in the area. Competitions will take place at Ocean Pines Golf & Country Club and at other local courses. PGA Director of Golf John Malinowski will serve as the captain of the Ocean Pines team and will lead the team’s practices and competitions.

The cost to participate is $125 per player, which includes greens fees for all competitions, a numbered team jersey, balls and bag tag.

Ocean Pines Golf & Country Club, which is open to the public, offers an array of junior golf activities including a spring junior golf clinic, summer junior golf camps, junior golf memberships and private golf lessons for juniors. All activities are open to the public.
