The Ocean Pines community has a chance to ‘stuff the stockings’ for local families who are in need of food this holiday season. The Ocean Pines police department is helping the Cricket Center, which is Worcester County’s only child advocacy center, to collect donations.
The Cricket Center is a child-friendly, safe and neutral location in which local law enforcement and Child Protective Services investigators conduct and observe forensic interviews with children who are alleged victims of crimes. The center provides child and non-offending family members support, crisis intervention, trauma based therapy and medical intervention.
Ocean Pines is looking to feed 30 or more families. Community leaders encourage residents to donate now until Thursday, Dec. 8th.
If you are able to donate any of the following items from the list, please drop them off in the lobby of the Ocean Pines police department:
Cans of Corn, green beans, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes
Boxes of Cereal
Jar of Peanut Butter
Jar of Jelly
Cans of soup
