Ocean Parkway Clean Up

Ocean Pines Public Works is cleaning up sand that was spread on portions of Ocean Parkway toward the South Gate and Manklin Creek Road after a truck spilled fuel on roadways on Friday, Feb. 23.

The spill, which also affected Route 589 south and Route 50 west up to the Friendship Road intersection, was caused by a private company truck not owned or operated by the Ocean Pines Association.

Roads are safe for travel, and some sand will remain to help prevent slippery conditions.
