Maryland Coastal Bays and Ocean Pines Association Host Speakers on Recycling and the Impact of Trash on the Environment

 Learn about the new Ocean Pines recycling program and the impact trash has on our waterways and on our marine mammals. 
 

Thursday, April 26th, Doors open at 5:30 pm, 
Speakers start at 6pm @ the Ocean Pines Yacht Club.
Refreshments provided, cash bar  

Program Schedule:

Bob Thompson, OPA General Manager - Welcome and 50 State Challenge Update.

Barbara Coughlan, OPA Environmental and Natural Assets Advisory Committee - Update on committee activities in Ocean Pines.

Jeff Karch, Waste Management - Ocean Pines single-stream curbside recycling and answer any questions regarding the new program.

Sandi Smith, Maryland Coastal Bays -Impact of trash in our waterways. 

Chuck Erbe, National Aquarium's Marine Animal Rescue Program-actual incidences in our area of marine mammal strandings due to trash in our waterways.

Doors open at 5:30pm, this educational series is Free and open to the public! Refreshments will be provided, cash bar.
