Summer Specialty Camps for Kids
High Intensity Volleyball Camp
The Ocean Pines Recreation Department will be offering a new camp this summer... the High Intensity Volleyball Camp for boys and girls in grades 7th through 11th. This will be a great opportunity for players to learn volleyball skills from Stephen Decatur High School coach Bertha Ortiz. Instructions will be tailored to each participant's skill level. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced player this camp will meet your needs for you to become a better volleyball player, so sign up today because this camp will only be offered one time this summer. This camp will be held during one week of this summer from July 26th - 30th in the Gymnasium of the Ocean Pines Community Center from 6-8:30pm. The cost of this fun filled skill building camp is $95 for residents of Ocean Pines and $105 for non-residents of the Pines.

Camp Eco-Adventure
Experience the fun of nature, discover your "wild" neighbors, splash in the creek, and learn to kayak, all at this exciting eco-camp. Ocean Pines will sponsor this eco-adventure camp,that will be held at Ayers Creek. Three fun-filled mornings packed with nothing, but pure adventure! Transportation will be provided from Ocean Pines to Ayers Creek. Residents-$125/Nonresidents $135
Session 1 - Aug.9-11 Ages:8-11
Session 2 - Aug.16-18 Ages:12-14

LEGO CAMP/ Gears&Gadgets
Boys&Girls 5-7yrs.
Playing with LEGOS has never been more fun! Using advanced LEGO parts and pieces, campers will build projects using gears, gadgets and motors. Projects are simple enough for campers to do yet hard enough to challenge them. Campers should know their colors and shapes and be able to count to twenty.

LEGO CAMP/Wild Wheels
Boys & Girls 8yrs.&up
Build a flipper car, motorcycle, space cruiser, and even a vehicle that hasn't been invented yet, all with advanced parts and pieces from LEGOS. This exciting class has campers building thirteen different vehicles and topped off with a final project.

The Andre Foreman "Summer Slam" Basketball Camp
The Ocean Pines Recreation & Parks Department is proud to present the Andre Foreman Summer Slam Basketball Camp to be held at the Gymnasium of the Ocean Pines Community Center located in the North Gate in White Horse Park. This fast paced, hands-on, skills & drills camp will be led by Professional Basketball player Andre Foreman, the 1992 NCAA Division III Player of the Year and 2 time All-American and his staff. Boys and girls ages 8 - 15 are invited to take part in this 5 day, fun-filled camp that will be offered two times throughout the summer. Campers will meet Monday - Friday from 6:00 - 8:30 pm. Session Dates are: August 9-13. The cost of this unique camp is $95 for residents of Ocean Pines and $105 for non-residents and includes a camp T-shirt and a commemorative basketball for each participant.

Beach Bonanza Body Board Camp
Come have fun in the sun and splash around in the surf! The Ocean Pines Recreation Department & K Coast Surf Shop invites you to join Professional BZ Body Boarder Brian Stoehr and his staff for an awesome 3 days of intense body board fun. Participants will meet at the Ocean Pines Beach Club on 50th Street in Ocean City. All participants must be able to swim. Our adventurous instructors are experienced, trained body boarders, and not only will they teach you basic and advanced body boarding skill, they will provide you with important information on surf awareness and pass along some valuable safety tips, as well as teach you about body boards, wetsuits, and how to read the wave for that perfect ride. The cost of this camp is $90 for residents of Ocean Pines and $100 for non-residents. PLEASE NOTE: Participants should bring their own body board. Participants needing body boards should contact the Recreation Department so that arrangements can be made to borrow a body board.

Grab your skateboard and get some air, at Ocean Pines Recreation & Parks, Awesome Air Skateboard Camp. Learn to ollie, kickflip, and grind the rails like the pros from Professional Skater Matt Dove. This exciting camp will be held at Ocean Pines newly designed and custom built skate park. Ages 6-15. Residents-$85/Nonresidents $95

Ocean Pines Anglers Club Youth Fishing Contest -7/24
The Ocean Pines Anglers Club with support from the Ocean City/Berlin Optimist Club, the Maryland Saltwater Sportfishing Association and the Ocean Pines Association, will host the 14th annual Art Hansen Memorial Fishing Contest on Saturday, July 24th at the South Gate Pond near the Sports Core pool in Ocean Pines.
Trophies will be awarded in each age group for biggest fish as well as awards for the top three. Age groups will be 4-7, 8-11, 12-16. Registration will be from 8:30 to 10am and the contest from 9 to 10:45 am. Bring your own fishing rod. Bait will be provided. All young anglers in each age group will receive a prize at the conclusion of the contest.
