Note: The December 12, 2017 NASA Wallops flight facility tour is sold out. Call to place your name on the waiting lists or to inquire about future trips.
Wallops Flight Facility is NASA’s primary facility for suborbital missions. The facility launches sounding rockets, scientific balloons and performs aircraft research. We will depart from the Ocean Pines Community Center and start our tour upon arrival at the facility at approximately 10:00 am. Once we arrive, we will pick up an escort who will take us on a tour of the facility. We will make several stops during the day, leaving enough time for lunch at the cafeteria (not included in fee). Where we stop depends upon what the facility is working on at the time. The tour ends with a drive-by of the launch pad area. Maximum of 20 participants per trip. Call for more information or to register.
