County Commissioner Judy Boggs will hold a regular town meeting on Saturday, May 17 at 10:00 am at the Ocean Pines branch library.
In addition to updates on current issues, a very special guest speaker, Jack Ferry, Jr., has been invited to discuss the mission and activities of the Worcester County Developmental Center. Don’t miss this very interesting and uplifting look at what has been accomplished at this multi-faceted facility, which provides training, education and work experience to disabled adults.
This will be Commissioner Boggs’ 24th town meeting since being elected to office in 2002. As she is not running for a fourth term as commissioner, her final town meeting will take place this fall, on Saturday, October 4.
Please note that Commissioner Boggs is aware that May 17 is also Armed Forces Day. As she has each year, she will be attending this special annual event later that afternoon. Therefore, the town meeting will be concluded before noon, so that all who wish to attend will have plenty of time to eat lunch and still be at the Veterans Memorial for the Armed Forces Day program at 1:00 pm.
All are welcome to attend this second-to-last town meeting and participate in the dialog on current county issues that impact Ocean Pines and all of northern Worcester County. For more information, call 410-641-6158.
