Changes Announced at The Cove at Mumford’s

As much of the resort restaurant scene on Delmarva prepares for hibernation, a coastal Bayfront restaurant in Ocean Pines is beginning to heat up its winter operations with a few appetizing changes.

“I spent some time talking with members who were there at the Yacht Club on Thursday nights, Friday nights, etc. and getting a feel of what they might be willing to accept as far as some changes go,“ said General Manager John Bailey at the Oct. 27 Board of Directors meeting in Ocean Pines.

Trivia Night, a summer favorite and major draw for The Cove at Mumford’s restaurant will be moved to Saturday evenings, starting Nov. 4. That’s great news for folks who are looking to challenge some of the sharpest minds in the area to a game of questions and answers.

The weekly free event, which is open to the public, is 4-6 p.m. Food and drink specials would also be available at Trivia Night.

Another favorite is the restaurant’s winter concert series. It kicks off with a local favorite on Friday, Nov. 3. The band, “Still Rockin,” takes the stage at 6 p.m. Residents and guests are in for a treat. The band, which is a 50’s to 70’s Rock and Roll cover band, is sure to rock your socks.

The concert series continues with “Prime Time” performing on Friday, Nov. 10 and “On the Edge” performing on Friday, Nov. 24. Reservations are preferred.

The Ocean Pines resident 20-percent discount has been discontinued on Monday, Oct. 30 at each Food & Beverage establishment in Ocean Pines. But don’t worry! The F&B Department will roll out food and beverage discounts when appropriate.

The hours of operation at the Cove at Mumford’s have also changed. The restaurant will be closed Monday through Thursday as well as Sunday. Doors will be open each Friday from 4 p.m. to midnight and on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to midnight. These new hours of operation take effect Wednesday, Nov. 1.
