Ocean Pines Association Board of Directors
 | Dave Stevens President 410-641-7946
Stevens296@mchsi.com
Term: 2007-2010
My wife Mary and I are originally from New Jersey, but lived in Maryland outside of Washington D.C. for 35 years, We bought Ocean Pines property from Boise in 1971, a vacation house seven years later, and our full time retirement home in 2001. Mary is a retired nurse and very active in volunteer activities at the library and the hospital. A degree in Physics, an advanced degree in Government and Public Administration, and a career in the area of defense systems engineering left me with a strong background in planning, budgeting and operations management. I found this experience useful while serving for four years on the Board of the Parke, and equally so to the even more daunting task of helping to govern Ocean Pines. Together Mary and I have experienced Ocean Pines as vacationers, weekend commuters and full time residents and we still think it is the best possible place to live. |

Term: 2006-2009
I'm not a politician or a member of any Ocean Pines special interest group. Although relatively new to OP, I come with solid educational, business, financial and community service experience; and perhaps some fresh, innovative ideas backed by common sense and commitment. |

Term: 2008-2011
The major reasons for my settling here include the wonderful variety of amenities that define Ocean Pines. I am a member of the Board because of a strong desire to directly contribute to the community I love, rather than to simply complain about that which I do not like. My background includes over thirty years with the Federal Government (18 years with the Army Corps of Engineers), where I had duties that included direct involvement with members of Congress and Congressional Staff, and the management of a Worldwide office with a budget of more than $50 million. |

Term: 2007-2010
My wife Lani and I have been full-time residents since 1990. Since then, I have been involved in residential home construction and, while now retired, I still dabble in home design. My community involvement includes service on advisory and ad hoc committees, an activist in such issues as the Coastal Bays Act and the former Wal-Mart traffic light problem, and as construction manager for our Veterans Memorial. I have observed OPA boards and management in action and studied the documents that govern our association. As a formeer business owner, I understand planning and budgeting and how to get things done. I believe my business and military experience and my understanding of our association is an asset to the board, and I am decidated to serve. |

Term: 2006-2009
I am 68 years old and have been married to my wife JoAnn for 42 years. I have two sons and four grandsons. We have lived in Ocean Pines for 9 years. My background includes law enforcement and business. I would consider it an honor to take my place on the OPA Board and look forward to this association with my community. |
| | Marty Clarke Director 410-641-6979
Term: 2007-2010

I have been a member of Ocean Pines Association since 1977, and a full time resident since 1992. I am happily married to Donna. We have raised two beautiful and successful daughters in Ocean Pines. I am a self employed real estate developer and builder whose business has been centered in the Pines from 1986 until today. If elected I would work to promote open dialog between management, the Board and the general membership. I would promise to encourage a conservative budget and fiscal responsibility in order to maintain our existing facilities and hold the line on our assessments. |

Term: 2008-2011
I have always made a point to be active in our local community from coaching youth baseball and soccer to serving as president of the St Mary’s of Piscataway Elementary School PTA. Today, I am still active in our local community and serve as a director for the Worcester Youth and Family Counseling Services. Since elected to the Board I will focus on maintaining, improving and expanding existing facilities and amenities, using long range planning, the budget process and open dialog with the OPA Staff and our members. Bottom lind: Ocean Pines is a great place to live and raise a family. |
