Atlantic Storm Warning

 

MEMA Tropical Storm Brief 26 Aug 14 – 0600 hours

 

Hurricane Cristobal is about 610 miles southwest of Bermuda.

 

Cristobal is moving toward the north near 12 mph. A north northeastward motion is expected today. A turn to the northeast with a gradual increase in forward speed is expected the next 48 hours.  The center of Cristobal will continue to move away from the Bahamas through tonight.   Maximum sustained winds are near 75 mph with higher gusts. Some strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours.
