Recent Discussion of Its Name
At the Oct. 27, 2017 Regular Board Meeting in Ocean Pines, General Manager John Bailey stated “we probably will be going back to the name Yacht Club but we will see what the reaction is to that.” The name of the facility has not been officially changed from “Mumford’s Landing in Ocean Pines” to “Ocean Pines Yacht Club.”
Mumford’s Landing in Ocean Pines and The Cove at Mumford’s restaurant are to open to the public! Overlooking the Isle of Wight Bay, this complex features a two-story building with catering and dining facilities. The upper level is home to a stunning ballroom and deck in addition to a bar and bridal and groom suites. Downstairs you’ll find the best in coastal cuisine at The Cove at Mumford’s, a casual-to-elegant eatery with indoor and outdoor seating as well as two bars. Step outside and enjoy a spacious patio with fire pits, Adirondack chairs, a band stand, children’s pirate ship playground and a seasonal Tiki Bar and swimming pool.
The Ocean Pines Marina, open April through October each year, provides docking facilities for boats up to 44 feet in length and sells non-ethanol gas, ice, bait, coffee, snacks, boating supplies, beer and wine and offers equipped bathhouse facilities and a pump-out station. Tie-ups are available for boaters to enjoy dining and music.
