This Week in The Pines: Oct. 15

Exciting Events & Programs for Ocean Pines, Md: The Ocean Pines Recreation and Parks Department will host several spooky offerings at the public event that will be held at 235 Ocean Parkway, including costume contests, carnival games, face painting, pony rides, candy, a haunted hayride, crafts, refreshments for sale and more. Area residents will find a few tricks and a lot of treats at the annual Ocean Pines Halloween/Fall Festival at White Horse Park on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 1 – 4 p.m.

With an approaching deadline, Ocean Pines residents are encouraged to get their canine companions camera-ready for the 4th annual “Pup of the Pines” photo contest sponsored by the Ocean Pines Recreation and Parks Department.

This Saturday begins youth basketball in Ocean Pines. This awesome clinic will teach your child the basics of basketball. Kids will learn to dribble, passing and shooting as well as the basic rules of the game. The environment will be non-competitive and friendly so your child can receive the full benefit of this clinic while having fun.

Plus, the Anniversary Gala is set for Saturday, Nov. 10 from 5:30-11:30 p.m. at the Yacht Club and will feature an open bar, 10-piece show band, filet mignon with lobster thermidor, rockfish imperial and more entertainment. Then, the Anniversary Sock-Hop Party is set for Friday, Dec. 14 from 6-10 p.m. at the Ocean Pines Community Center. The event will feature dance and costume contests, food & beverage and much more. Tickets will be $15 per person.

Call to make your reservations for a feast that you and your family will be thankful for on Nov. 22 at the Ocean Pines Yacht Club. HOLIDAY BUFFET COST: $24.99 adults/ $14.99- 11 & under.
