4th Annual Hometown Christmas & Tree Lighting

Area residents are invited to enjoy a cup of hot cider and treats by a warm bonfire and kick off the holiday season with the Ocean Pines Association’s 4th annual “A Hometown Christmas” and tree lighting ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 6:30 p.m. at White Horse Park in Ocean Pines.

Trees decorated by Ocean Pines businesses, clubs, families and individuals will be on display and lighted at the event, which is free and open to the public.  Local choral groups will also perform, and Santa Claus will make an appearance.

Any business, organization or individual interested in sponsoring a tree may do so for $45, which includes an 8-foot to 10-foot tree and sign.  Trees will be in place in White Horse Park, located at 239 Ocean Parkway in Ocean Pines, by Wednesday, Nov. 19 and must be decorated by Thursday, Nov. 27.

For more information about the event or to sponsor a tree, contact the Ocean Pines Recreation and Parks Dept. at 410-641-7052.
