Enrollment Opens for 4th Annual Ocean Pines Freedom 5K

Join us for a patriotic start to July 4th. The day of family fun begins with the 4th Annual Ocean Pines Freedom 5K. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Athletes Serving Athletes. This family-friendly race will go around the beautiful Veterans Memorial Park, cross Ocean Parkway and travel through The Ocean Pines Community, past the South Gate Pond to the finish line near The Veterans Memorial.

At the finish line, runners will see the flags of each Military branch on the Veterans Memorial. Come out and celebrate our freedom by wearing your red, white & blue on such a patriotic holiday! Race begins at 8am.

After the race, stay for an afternoon of fun and games. The Ocean Pines Recreation & Parks Department will host a day of fun at the Veterans Memorial site from 10am – 2pm. Waterslides, carnival games, a dunking booth and concessions are all part of this celebration. The fee for a water bounce wristband of fun is $6 per participant.

** T-Shirts are guaranteed for the first 250 runners**

Event details and schedule:

Race is held at 8am at Veterans Memorial Park located at 11444 Cathell Road, Berlin, MD. Free parking is available across the street at the library or the bank.

“Day Of” race registration will begin at 7am and the fee is $35.

Athletes Serving Athletes (ASA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit charity funded entirely by our private donors, corporate sponsors, and granting organizations. ASA began with a group of motivated, volunteer athletes who wanted to use their abilities to support individuals living with disabilities in Baltimore City. ASA’s reach has extended from Baltimore City to the mid-Atlantic region, offering mentoring, training, and competitive opportunities.
