Choptank Electric Cooperative is preparing for an emergency planned outage in the Ocean Pines area, scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 8 beginning at 12:05 am. It is expected to last until 5:00 am, according to the utility agency. This outage is necessary in order to make emergency repairs in a breaker station which feeds the Ocean Pines substation.
