2017 Holiday Special Events

(Ocean Pines, Md.)- Feel the warmth of holiday magic as Ocean Pines transforms into a Winter Wonderland. Start a new holiday tradition this year at the first annual SantaCon 5K Fun Run on Dec. 16 at noon at Veterans Memorial Park (Update: The SantaCon 5K Fun Run has been canceled). Breakfast with Santa Claus & Friends will feature unforgettable experiences you won’t find anywhere else. Get wrapped up in the season at our Reindeer Lane Gift Shop on Dec. 2 at 8-11 a.m. at the East Room in the Ocean Pines Community Center.

Then enjoy a holly, jolly celebration that’s brimming with cheer at the 7th Annual Hometown Christmas event on Nov. 25 at 6:30 p.m. at White Horse Park in Ocean Pines. Have a flurry of holiday fun in Ocean Pines this holiday season.

Here are a list of special events that will make your holiday a little more jolly!


Santa, his reindeer and sleigh are soon to be in town! Join us on Nov. 25, at 6:30 p.m. at White Horse Park.

  • Help us welcome Santa Claus into town
  • Tree Lighting ceremony at 6:30 p.m.
  • Enjoy local choir groups sing

This event is free and open to the public. So come out and help us light up the town for Santa.


Santa Claus is going to be in town for a while, so join St. Nick and his friends for breakfast.

  • Community Center on Dec. 2, from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m.
  • Menu includes: pancakes, sausage, milk, juice, coffee & pastries.
  • Ages 3 & Under are free; 4-10 are $5; 11 & Older are $7
  • Encouraged to bring an unwrapped gift that will be donated to local charities
  • Pictures with Santa are available for $5

After your nice hot meal with Santa, be sure to send the little ones on over to the Reindeer Lane Gift Shop.

  • Dec. 2 from 8 a.m.-11 a.m. in the East Room
  • Children, 12 & under are able to buy gifts for loved ones
  • All items are $5 or less

The movie “It’s a Wonderful Life,” will be on the big screen! Join us on Friday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. in the Gym. Be sure to bring a lawn chair, blanket, and snacks, if desired. There will be drinks, popcorn, and candy available for purchase. This event is free and open to the public. Donations are accepted.


Although it may be a little chilly outside, trade in your winter coat and boots for some swimwear and flip & flops. Bring the entire family for our 10th Annual Swim with Santa at the Sports Core Pool.

  • Saturday, Dec. 9 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
  • Fee: Swimmer $6 and Non-swimmer $3
  • Donations of food and/or unwrapped toys will be accepted on behalf of the Worcester County Sheriffs’ Department’s “Christmas for the Needy,” program

A double feature of “Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” & “A Charlie Brown Christmas” will be the big screen!

  • Friday, Dec. 15 from 7 p.m. til
  • Bring a lawn chair, blanket, and snacks. Drinks, popcorn, and candy will be for sale
  • All ages are welcomed and it is open to the public
